Project information

Pocatello Temple is one of the greatest temples we have ever completed which features sandblast finished stone “Temple White” used for the exterior of the Temple. Each piece was fabricated and checked before leaving Bestview facility to ensure a successful installation.

The project started in Aug.2019 and the stone fabrication took about 18 months. One of the major challenges in the project included the fabrication and installation for 4500 SF thin veneer for 80 ft high tower spire. To reduce the weight load at spire tower, the thickness of wall veneer was reduced from 1-1/4” to 1/2”, all the 1/2” veneer were adhered to the stainless sheet with structural silicone at jobsite. The most challenging thing is to do miter&tight epoxy joint on the slope entablature of tower. To ensure the slope entablature pieces could be adhered to the stainless structure accurately at jobsite, Bestview incorporated strict quality control measures from the equipment setting through the time and speed.
