Project information

The Tegucigalpa, Honduras Temple was dedicated March 17, 2013 and was the first temple built in Honduras. The design was influenced by Meso – American and Mayan Architectural and pafferus, with its heavy stone mass features and shapes.

Motifs used in the exterior and interior design include a lattice pattern as expressed in the large window grill and also found in carved details on the furniture and decorative lighting. Another motif was an orchid (Rhyncholaelia digbyana), which is the national flower of Honduras.
